There's a couple more dudes in this series to make it not so much a Pink Bishōjo Ghetto, but the gender ratio is still skewed towards the women, just not as terribly as before.

And only some of them are particularly magical, like Twilight Sparkle, who specifically goes out of her way not to use magic most of the time.

I need to get myself a pony avatar soon. And Fluttershy is adorable, even if you would be irritated if she was the only one cheering for you. I lived the scene where she tried to be aggressive with those male ponies. I have the sudden want for an episode in which someone tries to teach Fluttershy anger.

Fluttershy doesn't do anger. She just does very disappointed in you.

I just watched Feeling Pinkie Keen.

...was this supposed to be a religion analogue?

I felt it.

Also, The Hub doesn't seem to show it more than once a week. Dammit, I want to record some episodes and you bitches are denying me!

It was Lauren Faust's Romanticism coming out. And unfortunately in a bad fashion full of Unfortunate Implications.

It was a great episode, aside from the moral.

I heard Feeling Pinkie Keen wasn't supposed to be a science vs. religion thing, but that's really what it came across as.

I think the message that you can't prove the cause behind everything and keeping an open mind to new phenomena is a good one, but it seemed to be encouraging tolerance of superstition, which is bad.

I think my problem with it is that Twilight gave up on rigorous testing of that ability. Even if you accept that it's something Pinkie can do, there'd probably be a lot to learn from it.

The instant I start watching this show.

Or maybe earlier, depending on when that is.

Thaaat discussion took place already in the other thread.

Someone on Faust's  * Deviant Art account made a good point about how Twilight was actually being a bad empiricist because she wasn't using her tests to figure out if and how Pinkie Pie's abilities work, but in order to prove her own preconceived notions.

The episode could've still worked well if it hadn't been for the moral summary at the end, which Faust had to say she would reword if she still could. Based on how distraught she was with all the controversy, I'd say she's gonna be more careful about those from now on.

Right now. Here it is.

I ship Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.

Or possible Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.

I should probably find her dA page. I'm fascinated by the whole creative process and how involved the showrunner is with the fanbase.

There was actual controversy surrounding this?

I don't really think it's that bad, there was just kind of a little undertone to it.

Me either. I didn't like the undertone either.

I think I'd be appreciative if we got a continuity nod in the way of Twilight trying another round of testing.

Hey, do you guys think we could move this discussion to the MLP thread in Western Animation?

That's true.

I'm pretty dA ignorant. As I've noticed I'm only able to find the things such as the posts on her Journal Entries. There's a whole bunch of comments about things I've seen screencaptured that I definitely didn't come across on her journal. I'm sure some of it must be in P Ms, but surely not all of it.

Uh, isn't this show meant for girls that are in elementary school?

Supposedly Pokemon is of a similar situation.

Your point?

It's amusing that we are on the brink of surpassing the thread in Western Animation in terms of post count. Hey, wherever it happens, I'm happy at least the discussion exists. Though it would be nice to see the official MLP thread get more love. I'm in this thread right now because that's where everypony's posting.
