Heard of it, haven't seen it. From what I've heard the story is pretentious BS but the visuals are really nice. I might watch it just for the eye candy, but it doesn't seem likely.
Even the visual is, while better than average, not worth wading through brainshutting boredom. Jesus would preach about pretentiousness and use this film as an example.
Honestly, Friendship Is Magic has the better visual.

I have never seen so much empty shameless Oscar Bait in my life.
Urg.
Well I've reached a good stopping point on my other project, so time to start reading Homestuck! What am I in for?

@condottiera - I know, right?
@story - The beginning can be a bit tedious, but it picks up in about...few hundreds pages, I think.

I've slid rather out of the loop during this summer drought, but I just noticed our character sheet's section on Doctor Whooves Time Turner, and now I can't stop grinning.

I haven't seen all the movies that were nominated for Best Picture that year, but the ones I did see, I liked.
By the way, did you ever notice how the end of the description for Ordinary People?
See also: How Green Was My Valley and Crash.
That is a righteous burn.
I knew about How Green Was My Valley but I didn't know the other two, and O Rdinary People didn't mention anything about the Award Snub.
Also, Homestuck is going to take forever to read since I have to look up all these movie references.
