It's more convoluted than Primer, right?

I do love the convolutedness of Primer. I think I'll start it tonight.

Yay! Let me/us know what you think Condi. Homestuck is basically my favorite thing, so I'm happy to see so many people giving it a try.

As for the whole "convoluted" thing, Homestuck is probably the most complex story I've ever read, but it's definitely understandable if you pay attention and keep important details in mind.

Hey Bluespade. I'm reading Homestuck, and its getting interesting.

Wow, there's a lot of people reading it now. I guess it's something to do during the hiatus. Of course, Homestuck is on hiatus too (although that should be done in a day or two).

What part are you at?

I'm just starting Act 2.

Ah, still in the buildup stage. The Act 2 finale is where a lot of people get seriously interested. The first 3 Acts mostly establish the setting and characters, with the actual main plot getting rolling in Act 4.

It's cool so far, but if this ends up getting as convoluted as Primer, I probably won't like it.

the reading pile doesnt stop from getting taller

The first 3 Acts mostly establish the setting and characters, with the actual main plot getting rolling in Act 4.
Also, Act 4 may sound like it's far into it, but it's only about half the length of the story so far.

It does get pretty convoluted, but it's not really much of a problem. Like I said before, as long as you're paying attention*, you'll get most of what's happening and only a few bits will probably be really confusing.

Well I've never seen Primer... but I have a hard time imagining it could possibly be more convoluted than Homestuck. XD

Seriously, though, it stays pretty understandable if you pay close attention.

Once watched Primer with my aunt.

Had to pause it and find flow charts to explain it to her.

Homestuck doesn't just deal with time travel. It's got 4 distinct universes to keep track of.

I can deal with that.

If I can handle the DC reboot, I can take on anything.

Yeahhhhhh.... I've kind of been wanting to get into Batman comics (and I've read some here and there) but American comics are too damn hard to keep track of. There's like 7 or 8 separate Batman comics to follow, all canon, all crossing over with each other all the time.

Plus I'm irritated that Grayson isn't Batman anymore. Dick and Damian = awesome/hilarity. Bruce and Damian = depressing angst.

OK, yeah. There sure are things I miss about the old continuity, and I'm not really sure how I feel about a lot of things.

I'm dealing, though. I'm dealing.

Oh Shit. I just realized I'm smack in the middle of Archive Binge mode. I will be literally unable to do anything productive until I'm caught up on Homestuck.

Welp, have fun doing nothing constructive for the next couple of months!

Or weeks, if you're a really fast reader.

Hold on, I'm not done bitching.

Like, I'm kinda a little upset about the whole Red Robin thing.

Tim Drake was my favorite Robin, and now he was technically never even Robin.

Plus, when you have internet debates about somebody's natural hair color, I think things have gotten out of control.

I'm starting to get the feel that Rose may be mistaken in her belief of her mother's motivations.

I wonder if I should try liveblogging Homestuck here.

Well, give fair warning, cause I don't want spoilers.

@Blue: How much Batman have you read?

Do you have a favorite Robin?

@Storyyeller: I'd love to see you liveblog but maybe here wouldn't be a good place to do it. We could make a Yack Fest Homestuck thread for all you unspoiled people to chat in, much as this is the My Little Pony Yack Fest thread, couldn't we? Or you could just do a normal Liveblog. I guarantee you'd have followers.

Or if you felt like having some internet fame you could start a tumblr, Homestuck liveblog tumblrs are really popular.
