And now there's a dragon, apparently, that is currently the single most greatest threat to that area, so Celestia sends six civilians after it...Hmm...

I'm starting to think you might be right about the lack of firepower.

It's not just a lack of firepower, it's a lack of general defence. Even a utopian society requires at least one lawman for when it goes south.

Still doesn't make them qualified law or military personnel. Well, they did use a mythical superweapon that they actually embody, so maybe they are the law after all.

Okay, so here I am again, and AJ just rejects the idea of RD being an overwatch advance scout. That is slightly stupid...

Also, Pinkie Pie is doing nothing to stop my idea of her being slightly insane, seeing as she's laughing her head off and joking around while scaling a mountain to ponykind's greatest threat...

Even though it's basically her character that she is a nervous wreck.

There isn't really anything ponies can do agaisnt an adult dragon in a fight anyway. And since their plan is to just talk to it, they might as well send civilians (who happen to be a lot closer too).

Give it time, man, give it time...

If it came down to a fight, I'm sure Celestia or Luna could beat one or more dragons. But, given that harmony is the founding principle of the nation, Celestia would rather it not come down to a fight.

Okay, so the only weapon they have is AJ kicking apples at it...Again, hmm...

Fluttershy just said she's really scared of dragons.

Okay, now all the cowardice is making slightly more sense...

Dragons are pretty freaking scary. I don't blame her.
