Well, they spend almost all their time standing around and looking intimidating.

That's really all the royal budget could afford: looking intimidating.

I wanna see a Day in the Limelight episode for them. It would be great. Maybe we could get hints that some drama was going down with the mane 6 and Celestia would be dealing with it, and the guards go about stuff in her absence. It'd be sorta like Gotham Central.
