Given the large amount of grimdark pony stuff out there, I'm not too surprised. Still I don't think that many of them will reach the "holy crap what just happened" factor of cupcakes

Cupcakes had the benefit of novelty. Now, reaction to grimdark is more along the lines of, "oh, another one of those things."
I took a guess and cut a portion out of my heart.
He said, "That's nowhere close enough, but it's a damn good start."
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Well I just finished Bastion. It certainly was interesting.

Which choice did you make? I actually found that the choice at the end made me stop and think for awhile, a rarity in games.
What do you think about new
TF 2 mode?
I wonder if any pony crossver was made with MVM.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
I chose to save Zolf and go the
New Game Plus route. It didn't seem like that tough a choice to me.

But if you choose the time travel option, there's no reason to think The Calamity won't just happen again. In fact, if you play New Game plus, it's heavily hinted that that is what's happening. I saved Zolf and went with the Evacuation plan. I plan on doing a new game plus and seeing the other ending anyway though.
I know that Restoration just repeats the same things again, but I wasn't sure if the Evacuation option would unlock
New Game Plus or not. (Logically it shouldn't)

Yes but if it is canon, it doesn't make sense to unlock it when you didn't make the choice for it to happen. Oh well, it's not like the anklegators make any sense either.

Seen it.
It makes me
cry every time.
So beautiful.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
So I've just finished playing through
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin again.
Now that I'm so familiar with MLP, I can't help but see obvious parallels between Charlotte Aulin and Twilight Sparkle.
Charlotte uses books as weapons (attacking by conjuring illusory images from the book), is exceptionally skilled in magic, and spouts exposition in a way that makes it clear that she's studied well in advance.
Hell, right before the final battle, where you have to fight both Dracula and Death at the same time, her first remark is, and I quote, "That was never mentioned in any book I've read!"
Can you cool it with the Karn puns, Zennistrad?
No problem. They were kinda Karny anyway.

The
New Game Plus in the
Harry Potter Gameboy game was especially weird. You lose all your spells when you restart, and unless you won the House Cup in a previous playthrough, there's no way to get them back. Which means that you're stuck using the very weakest spell, plus whatever high level spells you happen to get from leveling, but you can't use any of the mid level spells.

I dunno how it took me until 2012 to realize this, but iTunes is totally sweet. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of pony songs on there, of course, but I did manage to find the entire 30 something song soundtrack of The World Ends With You, which I never expected to be on there.
The store is pretty good. As a music player/manager, it sucks.

I was ecstatic to find out that most of Crush 40's songs are available on iTunes.
Now if only they had the soundtrack to
Sonic Unleashed...

I use it to put songs on my Ipod. Before that, I used Winamp.

I just use VLC for a player and Nautilus to organize. Nautilus is my normal file manager ;)
