Finally finished going through the write-off entries. Never felt like this much of a chore before; half of the stories this time weren't even coherent, and all but about three of the rest were generic wangst.

I just saw the 2nd part of Return of Harmony and that episode was like a bad acid trip. What I imagine a bad acid trip would be like anyway.

Yeah AJ's had like, three episodes total, and one of them was more about the farm than her.

Applejack needs more episodes about her and less stealing the spotlight in other pony's episodes.

If the guy was a tad better voice, I'd like this more.

Since when has Applejack ever stolen the spotlight away from anyone? If anything, that's Pinkie's job.

I'd like to see an episode that focuses on AJ and Fluttershy, myself. It's only fitting that the two ponies with the least focus episodes get some limelight.

I have a lot of trouble deciding who my favorite character is, but Pinkie Pie is definitely in the top three. Still, I agree that she might take up too much time.

On a related note: Am I the only one here who likes the Crusaders-centered episodes, but just really wishes they'd show some progress in their plotline? Anyone?

No you're probably not the only one. In a massive fandom like this, there are bound to be some people that share your opinions.

I like the crusaders not being crusaders. As in, episodes with Apple Bloom and/or Sweetie Belle and/or Scootaloo that aren't spurred on by "let's go find our cutie marks!"

If they let the CMC make progress, the first half of a third season when the second half may not even happen sounds like the perfect time to do it.

It would probably involve Apple Bloom getting it last, since she has the whole deuteragonist thing going.

I think that, if they do a Celestia-centered episode, it should be some sort of showing of her life using only animation to tell what she's seen and experienced with no dialogue. Maybe an Art Shift into lineless animation to give it a "dream" feel.

A Celestia and Luna episode would be amazing.

1) One that's way, way out of their usual style, a political conspiracy thriller. Musical duet between the princesses, while Celestia holds an ambassadorial meeting of forced smiles and ominous doublespeak with the villain, at the same time Luna goes Solid Snake on his base to find out his plan. Pinkie Pie is used to throw off the villain.

2) One somewhat more in line with their usual style, Twilight goes on a mundane errand for Zecora that brings her off into the wilderness, dangerously close to some disaster one of Celestia's previous students unleashed. Celestia stages a full-out search and rescue to track her down before history repeats itself. Parallel story through interspersed flashbacks. Hell breaks loose right as Celestia gets there.

Twilight, being Twilight, not only knew what she was approaching the whole time, but took a hilarious amount of precautions, utterly curbstomps it in a pyroclasm of contingencies, and puts an even stronger seal on it. Celestia is rather bemused that not only is Twilight even more badass than she expected, but that she spent the last two days in Defcon only to end up as a convenient free ride out of the boonies.

Ends with Celestia writing a friendship letter to Twilight, then visiting the royal memorial tower to have her breakdown in private. Joined by Luna, who asks about what she's missed in the last thousand years. Celestia starts sharing one of her memories, the audio fades out, and the camera pitches up to more memorial tapestries...and more...and more...
