I could probably live with the voice change and the underping, really. What really wigs me out is that the ensuing shitstorm probably overshadowed what was probably Applejack's only focal episode this season. *is a big Applejack fan*

Yeah. Applejack should've gotten a few more episodes this season.

Instead of Fluttershy episodes. More Applejack and Pinkie Pie episodes.

Naw, I wouldn't begrudge Fluttershy a chance in the spotlight, she needs a chance to break out of people's perceptions about being only shy and timid and maybe frighteningly scary when pushed to the limit.

That'd be for the best. Out of all the cast, fluttershy is the one who desperately needs some more Character Development. Putting your Hoof down was a step in the right direction for her character, since at least it changed a bit of her.

If it had come out after Hurricane Fluttershy, it would've worked better, though.

It's not a reimagining, it's just transplanting her into an RPG.

I will admit I have trouble picturing Fluttershy as any of the Clans. Probably closest, if I had to guess, would be Gangrel?

I guess it is hard to beat "Rainbow Dash is a sociopathic murderer!" when it comes to off-characterness. That Flutterkiin thing I have a much easier time imagining as actually happening. Oooh! I know! Have Fluttershy try to steal a bite from one of her friends' cake! That's certainly something she would never do ever!

The elements don't seem to be completely tied to the characters. It's just that they showed the characteristics necessary to wield them. Any other pony should be able to use them, in theory.

Kind of like being the Avatar in the Ultima games. Anyone can, if they have the right skills, it's not something fated.

If they were beyond special, they'd have better treatment, I guess.

Regardless, I still think they were out of character. Though, I suppose being jerks isn't too out of character for them.

It was in character for RD. Rarity was borderline, and it was pretty OOC for Fluttershy. I think in certain circumstances AJ would do it, but she'd suck at keeping it a secret. She'd probably be overcome with guilt and confess in short order.
