So did I miss it, or has there seriously been no mention in this thread of Princess Cadence yet?

...I don't think Fluttershy has ever been so adorable. That outfit...

Also, I can't even imagine how much fanart is going to be made of Rarity riding Twilight...

Oh good, and there's a Christmas carol, too.

Or, sorry, Hearth's Warming Eve.

Ah, finished.

Nice episode, impressive visuals, and Fluttershy outfit is just something! Although all the characters seemed to get very appropriate outfit.

Also, muzzled Twilight ridden by Rarity takes my thoughts where they really shouldn't go.

Liked Applejack and Twilight as Hypercompetent Sidekick . Rarity and Dash are spot on in their performance, and Pinkie Pie... well, she's definitely thinking outside the box.

Ahem, anyway, on a different topic from muzzled Twilight...

So Celestia and Luna were not always in charge of day and night, common unicorns were handling it themselves. And the power of unicorns is enough for that.

Makes me wonder about exactly how Celestia and Luna came to be

But the chimney is not inside any box, so she is still outside the box.

Now, Fluttershy, she tried her best to think inside of the boxtongue

[up][up][up][up]I think the original unicorns needed to work together to move the sun and moon, in the way that all of the earth ponies needed to farm and all of the pegasi needed to work the weather.

So basically pony nations are so sugary peaceful because everypony who isn't sugary peaceful dies in a horrific apocalypse caused by vicious hellbeasts of ice that feed on casus belli.

Well then tongue

Wonderful episode and Pinkie was absolutely amazing, but I wish they'd give poor Applejack a break about being "The Always Sane One". Granted you need something to stem the tide of lunacy on this show and it's probably going to come down to her, Spike, or Twilight, but to be that every time makes her a little generic. Let her be a silly pony every once in a while.

Okay, so here's a rough timeline of Pony History for those who haven't thought about this very deep yet:

Pre-Classical Era: The different pony kinds live separate from each other (Unicorns ruled by a Princess, Pegasi by a Commander, and Earth Ponies by a Chancellor), and only co-operate out of necessity. The Unicorn Kingdom raises the sun and the moon in exchange for a food tribute from Earth Ponies. Star-Swirl the Bearded lives during this period.
Classical Era: Equestria is founded, and the different pony kinds live together.
Discordian Era: Discord conquers Equestria and rules it in a state of chaos, using the ponies as playthings.
Early Modern Era: Celestia and Luna vanquish Discord and rule together, rising the sun and the moon, respectively.
Late Modern Era: Luna becomes Nightmare Moon and is banished into the moon for a thousand years. Celestia raises both the sun and the moon.
The New Age: Nightmare Moon is cleansed and Luna (presumably) takes back her position from before her banishment.

"Pre-Classical Era" is the only name I took from canon (Twilight says that Star-Swirl the Bearded was from the Pre-Classical Era: the Hearth's Warming Eve history states that he lived before the foundation of Equestria). All the events described and their order, however, are in-show canon, or directly concluded from said canon.

And as an aside, Luna never directly stated she knew Star-Swirl in person. She just knew Star-Swirl's costume by heart, which is hardly conclusive proof.

And then there was Jeeves and Wooster ponies.

There was also Badass epic dragon-fighting not-ponies. (bonus points if you found Derpy)

Derpy is best Link.

So, yesterday was the big Finnish brony meetup. I attended with two friends. Here's a short sum-up for those interested:

The event was held in a youth centre in the suburbs, which had been rented for the occasion. About a hundred people attended, and the spaces were just about the right size for the event.

Most attendees seemed to be on the 18-25 age range, but there were several older people (not any kids that I saw, though). I'd say about 10% of the people present were women. I didn't exactly poll around, but it seems that at least half of the bronies had come to Helsinki from another town to visit for the meetup. My Swedish pal seemed to be the only foreigner present, though.

After some quick announcements from the administration in the beginning, everyone spread out to socialise and have a good time. Board games, video games, drawing, custom-painting figurines, pool... someone was even making a PMV on a laptop and had people looking at the process over his shoulder. Several people expressed the hope that a year from now, we can hold a Fighting Is Magic tournament in a meetup.

Half an hour before the new episode aired, everyone gathered to the widescreen television to watch as the administration started to feverishly set it up to show a stream. We missed the cold open due to internet troubles, but most of the episode was shown fine. The bronies were a really passionate audience: laughing at jokes, aww-ing at Fluttershy and groaning whenever the stream cut off for a second. When the end credits rolled, there was a round of applause.

I left soon after the episode was shown, but after that they held a Pony quiz with prices (the winners got a pony-themed coffee mug and the team that got the least points was given a G3.5 magazine), and later auctioned off custom-painted figurines.

We also took a group photo right before the episode streamed, but I'm not posting that here yet, since I don't have the permission of the people in the photo to post it here. When it appears on Equestria Daily, I can link it here with good conscience.

I really liked it, and will definitely attend to more meetups in the future. I highly recommend these to any Finnbronies who might see this post.
