As much as I usually tend to be annoyed by romance, Spike and Rarity is the only possible MLP pairing I'd support.

Also, Rarity is a drama queen. She was remarkably composed during Spike's rampage, which demonstrates that her usual outbursts are, well, drama

This episode had some good elements, but the Aesop seemed warped.

I did really like the King Kong sequence. And Rarity crying and putting her hoof to Spike's mouth was the most heartwarming thing.

I think Spike becoming young again was meant to symbolize him retaining his innocence more than it was to say that being generous lets you remain a kid forever.

Also, as good an episode as it was, I found the ending to be kind of rushed. I mean, the episode basically ended with Ponyville half destroyed, are we just supposed to assume they rebuild the entire place betweem episodes?

That's true, and guess I shouldn't be surprised considering that "everything gets comically destroyed but only stays that way for one episode" episodes are pretty common in anything by Faust.

Just a thought, if dragons grow larger in relation to how much they want, does that mean that Spike could have grown even larger?

I liked the episode, but I was a little surprised it took so long for somepony to realize that he was hoarding because he's a dragon. That's what they do.
