Ahhh, so I see I'm not the only one who's informed about this.

OK if Pinkie Pie and Gilda loved each outer very much what would result?

Well, since PP's a pony and Gilda's a griffon, which is part eagle, part lion...

A half-pony, quarter eagle, quarter lion thingy.

EDIT: Misreading "Pinkie Pie" as "Rainbow Dash"? EPIC FAIL.

I kinda want to watch through the series and find a really underground background pony, for some reason...just find some really unpopular background pony to work with. I mean, I've sort of got Ziggy in that regard, but he only shows up in one episode, as far as I know.

Well, I watched the first two episodes of this, and I've got to say, Pinkie Pie is so bloody irritating.

Apart from that and the rather mangled attempts at lessons (like the 'honesty' one), it wasn't too bad. It's certainly a notch up from some childrens shows.
Be not afraid...

Please note that the first two episodes are of a completely different format than the rest of the series, so if you found the first two kinda wonky, check out the next two to see if you like 'em better.

Also, I agree that Pinkie Pie is freaking irritating most of the time. She only gets to shine in episodes that are from her point of view ("Gryphon Brush-Off" and "Party of One").

I'd say just pick two at random, you can pretty much watch them in any order (just the way the producers intended). Or look up episode summaries and see if any one looks particularly appealing.

The second episode felt kinda clunky to me, like they were trying to do something more elaborate than they had time to do.

Though personally, I find Pinkie Pie hilarious.

Pinkie Pie is a hit-or-miss. Sometimes she's annoying, sometimes she's the center of a great gag.

Personally, I think the fan works handle her better than the actual show.

I dunno, I really like Pinkie in the show. Even when she's being super annoying.

I never found her annoying.

I don't generally read fanfiction, and most of the fan works I've seen that have been more than one-off gags have involved Pinkamena and various shades of canon defilement. What would be an example of a fan work that portrayed Pinkie better than the show itself?

I’ve found her annoying at times, but when I saw her hopping around Pepe Le Pew style in Griffon the Brush Off, I realized that person or persons who came up with how her character is used in the series where absolute geniuses. Not only do they have a character that can acceptably break the laws of physics, but one that’s an endless source of non sequitur humor.

The later has the potential to be annoying, but I thought the writers made a subtle yet warranted point that sometimes the cuckoolander is right with Swarm of the Century.

I've heard people who have been under the effects of nitrous oxide for dental surgery (or any other purpose) describe it as "knowing that they're in pain, but not caring." They can still feel pain in some sense, but it loses its status as a negative sensation, even though they know it should feel awful.

This is something like my reaction to Pinkie Pie. I can perceive the fact that she's incredibly irritating, but somehow she doesn't irritate me, and I have yet to determine why.

WARNING TO ALL FINNBRONIES!!!

FIM IS GETTING AN OFFICIAL DUB, AND IT'S THE "AVERAGE QUALITY" (READ AS: UTTER CRAP BY THE SAME FIVE OR SO VOICE ACTORS THAT DO EVERY SHOW AROUND HERE) OF A SATRUDAY MORNING CARTOON.

AVOID IT AT ALL COST LEST YOU WANT THE SHOW RUINED FOR YOU.

Half translated names, badly translated names, mispronounciation, Spike sounds feminime (ohai Misty from pokemon), AJ doesn't sound like a farmer... Just don't watch it.

Sorry, I didn't mean Talking to Himself.

I meant like it's the same voices you hear in literally every televised cartoon dub here. Finland doesn't seem to have more than a handful of voice actors who do TV, and they're half-hearted in their performance at best.

Oh, they're up at Equestria Daily with youtube links for anyone interested. They're pretty bad. I only watched until I heard AJ say 3 words and I had enough of it already.

I mean, it could be worse, but just three lines was enough to convince me that it'snot very good.

Rest of my info I got from a lenghty list of comments with rants and "reviews" of the same issues from other finns.

Speaking of Fi M dubs, anypony seen the Japanese fandub clips? They're actually pretty decent

The rest have to be linked (TV Tropes doesn't allow more than one YouTube embed per post)
