@Rotty: Yes, if only for a while. That said, I am as I am, and will maintain what little pride I have. This will be demonstrated in acts of stunning manliness.

If some form of device were invented that enabled flawless and instant swapping of gender, I would be tempted to try it out, but would ultimately choose to stay.

Bearing this in mind, girls remain as my preference, and thus I am not gay, in spite of how outrageously campy I tend to be.

Well, barring the ability to magically go "Poof! You are now [gender]!", I would say a pony who is transitioning would probably focus on vocal training and styling his/her mane to look like his/her preferred gender. As you've noted, they don't normally wear clothing and makeup (though they do wear clothing occasionally), so that would probably not be a big issue.

Though I can't help but think that the transitioning process in a world where magic exists would be very different than it is here. Does an MTF pony need vocal training or can her voice magically be made more feminine? Things like that.

Not so much that as it is that being male at least has a few perks as well, specifically I get to be a big brother/father figure, which is really pretty darn cool. Cool enough that it would make staying worthwhile.

Swapping genders for no reason other than a simple aesthetic would be rather foolish, I think. And above all else, it's not like I can't wear a pink t-shirt and sing Disney songs anyways - people are already used to me being weird.
