Regarding the video: huh, I had forgotten how much force Rarity actually uses, seeing how her own episode had her be a Manipulative Bitch as her primary "self defence."
Then again, they're all horses, kicking comes natural. Except maybe for Fluttershy. The most I recall from her is smashing an apple with her hoof. And I mean physical force, not verbal force or pressuring staredowns.

I watched the first episode a couple of days ago. It doesn't seem to be the type of thing I could get into, but the writing really surprised me at how well-thought-out it was. Lauren Faust is a genius. I might watch more of it someday, but for now I've got too many other shows on my watchlist that I'm more anxious to see.
Also, from what I saw, Fluttershy is my favorite character, no contest.
