A) You have your generic studious-best-friend-who-always-rushes-off-to-deal-with-books set up in the first five minutes of the series. Which has been done almost to death. And there's always comments along the lines of 'She must care more about the books than her friends'.
B) The aforementioned stairs. Beyond the fact that horses would find it difficult to bend their legs correctly to get up the stairs, ponies have hooves, which should have resulted into radically different stair shapes. But noooo, we need to make it as humanlike as possible. Because that totally makes sense with ponies.
C) The generic 'Sister tries to take over the world so other sister regretfully stops her with the magic of PEACE AND BEAUTY AND HARMONY'. Not to mention that dude, the ponies fricking ignored her work every night for YEARS. Jesus Christ, would it have killed them to stay up oe night to appreciate her work?
D) Pony Magic. That was the second I left in disgust. Could you not have just named it 'Magic'? I there really any need to give it a Narmful title like that? We already know you're ponies, we don't need that reinforced ಠ_ಠ
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
So, all I really know about this show is that /co/ is completely tsundere for it.
Should I be secure in my masculinity and try it out?

As I said, who cares about being a man?
Do it Malkavian! Real men watch shows about ponies!
Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.
I guess we should really just agree to disagree on that, then.
By the way, why is this in Yack Fest and not in the Media subforum?
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
I told you bro.
I told you about how cliched the first few episodes were.
Ruining everything forever.
I've never gotten the whole "Horses=Girly" thing. I mean, cowboys have horses and so do knights.

This current generation is too mainstream.
I'll go back to G1.
Behold! Grammer Nazis, behold the sigh of Engrish mine!
They had the first episode free on iTunes in HD so I downloaded it in an instant...too bad my iPod can't play HD :c
Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.

Okay. Is anyone here willing to swear on any respect I have for them that this show gets less painful to watch later?
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
I don't think you're allowed to link to torrent sites on here.

Yeah. You aren't. Terminate that link man.
This is Dr. Fetus. Nobody loves Dr. Fetus. And that's why Dr. Fetus hates you!
Then the anime sub-forum has been breaking that rule a bajillion times.

Exactly...
There are too many toasters in my chimney!
Fine. Edited. But you all know it exists now, so yeah. And the torrents in great quality.
It does get less painful to watch, but it doesn't stop being embarrassing until you get used to it.
The first two are more or less painful to watch most of the way through, but there are some high points.
Ruining everything forever.
You sure?

Yeah, Cygan, I don't think any of us really care about your respect. We do, however, care about ponies.
Well ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry?
I was never really embarrassed about watching it for some reason. And I actually really enjoyed the first episode, though the second one was a little cheesy. I still loved it though, because I like cheesy.
