Hell, I loved AJ's. She was the only one who actually ACCEPTED what she had done, and actively apologized for it. (plus there's that shot of her covering her mouth with her hat, I just wanted to hug her)

Yes. Because she's the one in charge here. Yes, I know tradition and all that, but what would they say to her if she refused? "We don't need you anymore"?

Or she could have chosen a more professional way to alter the gala, rathe rthan bringing in some friends of hers to ruin it (even if they didn't split up they'd still be ruining it for most of the other guests

Theres always the option of doing the animation yourself.

That is, if you're any good with it. On the plus side, the art style isn't too difficult to copy to anyone half decently expirienced.

I'm still maintaining that she didn't realize the scale of devastation that they were going to cause. She probably expected stuff like Applejack selling food or Pinkie Pie's singing, but I seriously doubt that she planned for the cast to destroy a building. And she only gave her approval of it after the fact when she knew that nopony had been hurt.

This too. I got the feeling that most of the attendees either didn't care about the decorum (like the Wonderbolts), or were being stuffy and needed to lighten up a little.
