@Story I've gotten my siblings to watch it, and they all like it. I never really pushed anything on them, though, just suggested it a few times.

I've gotten my younger twin brother to watch FiM, and while my older brother doesn't watch it, he doesn't mind that I do. Life is good here. cool

I tried to get my family to watch it but AFIAK they didn't become fans.

I'm basically in the "I won't bring it up, but I'll readily admit it if someone asks" camp. My and a brony friend recently got another of our friends hooked on it. After a few episodes he decided to put all the episodes I have on his laptop.

I have an older sister who's married and has a teenage son. I haven't told her I'm a brony. I really don't think she'd understand.

Then again, her son likes Dora the Explorer, so who knows.

I haven't told anyone I watch it because even though I wouldn't mind others knowing that I watch it, I wouldn't enjoy the whole "Dur, are you serious!?" conversation that would initially happen. So unless someone asks me for some reason I doubt I'll be telling anyone.

Yeah, the whole "having to explain at length exactly why I watch the show" conversation can be quite tedious.

I suck at that kind of conversation. Not just for my little pony but for "Other Things"

Fortunately bronies are much more well known nowadays. You only have to explain it to adults.

@Story: Ignorant Juggalos (I use that term in it's full offensive capacity).

Also the X generation has a hard time comprehending us in general.

My parents were more slightly bemused about it than anything else. Although it probably helped that I was watching it with two other other people at the time.

Also, I need to go to bed. Goodnight everyone.

I watched a YouTube video of the Bronycon light fixture fire the other day. Then I read the comments. Never read YouTube comments. sad

[up][up]YT comments are 90% troll comments. Why would you even bother?

Everything's been done. Everything has a meaning. However your life at best is to serve as a building block for others.

I find myself always looking at the comments on YouTube. I comment a lot on a Necrofantasia MIDI vid repeatedly explaining what it is and that no, it is not Death Waltz.

Clever comments like "I hope they all died." Crap like that, with some homophobic stuff thrown in for good measure. just bugs me

YouTube comments aren't good enough to be called hives of scum and villainy. tongue

This thread is a hive of gum and silly putty.

Wow, 10 year olds have gotten a lot worse haven't they? I blame bad parenting and too many juice boxes.

Well I'm still rather pissed off. I guess I'll go sleep angrily and wake up in six hours to work all day.

Youtube comments have always been a cesspool of stupidity.

Now I'm having flashbacks to that religion argument on the video for Baba Yetu.

Youtube comments make me wonder how the hell I am supposed to raise kids in the future. I mean good lord if kids that age are all fuckheads how the hell do you deal with that?
