Very interesting, quite unique, giving him a punkish look based on name and mohawk, It's okay I say, though probably not in character unless Spike was having a weird day. a solid A-.

No, he and his little cousin Apple Bloom should interact.

I suppose it'd be pretty cool if Little Strongheart and Braeburn made a repeat appearance. It'd definitely provide an opportunity to flesh out their characters.

Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.
I'm not particularly attached to any of the one-shot characters either, but I think that they are all interesting enough to show again and do cool things with.
I like Braeburn. He totally needs to show up again.
Blueblood could come back and apologise to Rarity. The aesop of the episode could be that everyone deserves a second chance.
Only if Rarity acknowledges she was in the wrong as well.
Tealove is best pony.

Whohoo! Turtlebutter reads my fic! I'm writing! I promise!
Actually, I think it'd be cooler if Dash got into trouble and had to rely on Gilda for aid, demonstrating that while selfish, Gilda is in fact willing to go to great lengths to help a friend. Of course some people would argue it's out of character for Gilda. I just think it'd be a stronger redemptive story and I'm a sucker for redemption arcs.
