Yeah, she wouldn't even have been able to come up with that "The Reason You Suck" Speech if she didn't believe at least a little of what she was saying deep down.

It's not a matter of racism but convenience. It's not impossible that Fluttershy would marry a pegasus or unicorn, but an earth pony is more likely to fit in with her lifestyle.

It's why I know that I'm less likely to marry someone from outside my culture.

EDIT:With you on that. I thnk that Fluttershy did at least partialy believe what she said. Of course, Fluttershy is older than Pinkie and I believe that she's also older than Rarity, so she might occasionally get annoyed by the immaturity of certain other members of the group. I actually believe that only Applejack is older.

@Story: That would admittedly be a source of amusing irony.

EDIT: Of course, as I've said before, if anypony is willing to have an Interspecies Romance, it's Fluttershy, which is why I ship her with Spike (though she's dropped to number three on my list of who to ship with Spike).

I think Applejack is actually one of the younger ones since she said she was young when she got her CM.

She said she was old actually. The last in her class to get it.

AJ and Fluttershy are definitely the older two in the Mane Six. I'd like to think Twi and Pinkie are the youngest two :D

Well, she got her Cutie Mark when she was younger than the Crusaders, perhaps? Or she spent quite a few months at the Oranges in Manehatten.

Now I've started Marathon 2. BO Bs are no longer useless assholes who block my path, they actually fight now. Durandal seems a little less unhinged, but okay. The alien world is nice.

Also, boxing with F'lickta and those squid things is fun :D

Gonna take Clay on next. I plan to exploit Intimidate, Leech Seed, and the Oshawott family's Torrent ability to take out Excadrill.

yeah, Applejack being last in her class and Rainbow being first are two pieces of evidence I use for deciding the age rder. I think that from oldest to youngest it's:

Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow.

Both are both important elements in propelling me as far into this fandom as I've gone, so TV Tropes as a whole got some mention when I was upstairs for my interview.

Re: the cards - I bought a box of those while I was at Brony Con and there's so many shoutouts to the older part of the fandom on the back of those cards it's awesome. I got the Twi special box too, since I ended up with her base card, regular foil, cardboard stand up and gold foil.

I can see how you think AJ is one of the older ones, but I'm not sure why everyone keeps placing her above Fluttershy. I think Fluttershy is definitely the oldest.

"Last in my class" is an objective fact. "Littler than y'all" could be a statement affected by perception filters or exaggeration.

Fluttershy seems to have a lot of pent-up things (mostly anger). Sometimes her timidness feels like an extreme sense of self-restraint bordering on repression.
