Well, I mean that was the impression I got from the first one. Although that might be because I just prefer the song parts as I don't watch/play enough things to get most of the parodies.

I always thought it was supposed to be a bunch of PM Vs with comedy interludes and not the other way around.

*takes break from first anthology*

For me at least, the thing with PM Vs (and AM Vs too) is that so many of them are just the song mixed with semi appropriate clips from the show. Playing Move Bitch while showing characters being crashed into? Killer Queen during the Celestia/Chrysalis ancient pony laser battle? yeah, real amusing.

Now, the Staying Alive bit with Pinkie in the second anthology? Where the beat synced with pinkie jumping on the roofs, and the entire pony chorus came in for the "staying AAAALLLIIIIIIIIVVEEEE!" part? That was well done, and I very much enjoyed it.

ok, back to first anthology.

I spotted two Firefly refrences in Anthology 2, along with what might have been a Red vs blue refrence with Luna.tongue

I thought the video was still funny despite it's problems, and I love the sprite opening at the begining.

[up]But.... But Queen was an awesome band.......

Now, I'm trying to remember all the movies that I saw in 9th grade biology class. I can remember 7, but it seems like there were a lot more.

you are absolutely correct, and killer queen is an awesome song. I actually did enjoy the killer queen bit becasue of that.

but then, what's the point of the P and the V in PMV if only the music is good?

Yeah, it's definitely a different taste thing, then. The Killer Queen part was one of my favorites, but I don't remember the Staying Alive part at all.

That said, some of the parodies I did get were great. The creepy 3D celestia and the Portal 2 cores for two examples.

I've watched up to about 25 minutes of Pony Anthology II so far. It hasn't been worth it yet. Probably because I don't really like amvs/pmvs/whatever.

Most of it isn't worth it but there are a few funny parts.

The Queen bit was amusing, but I liked it mostly because of the music. The bits I liked most were the ones that worked the song or audio into the shows context. Like the bit with the Portal2 personality spheres, or Monk intro parody.

Y'know what, all the good Youtube Poopers seem to like to act like dicks for some reason.

[up][up]To their commenters, not to mention that the average good Youtube Pooper will have about five pony poops, which all seem very harsh towards the show, which is quite confusing.

@Gex: Nowadays people seem to think that hate and negativity are somehow automatically funny, as well as making you seem somehow intelligent and cultured. It's an unfortunate thing that doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

I could have said that much more eloquently if I'd slept some time in the past 3 days.

well, the first anthology was also quite good overall. Even if they did result to shoopin the whoop a few too many times for my taste.

[up][up]Speaking of which, what show should I watch, South Park or Family Guy? I haven't seen much of either.

Neither, they are trash.

Although admittedly South Park can be funny trash from time to time.

I wouldn't know; both of those shows rely way too much on Refuge in Vulgarity for my taste. From what I do know, South Park is generally considered to have overall better writing, I guess. The guys who write it are pretty well known for their satiric abilities.

[up][up][up]I prefer South Park. I don't like Family Guy. But try both and see if you like either.

Even if Anthology 2 didn't always hit its marks, I will say that it never bored me.

Family Guy is not well spoken of these days.
