@Turtle: couldn't YOU have reported him to HR? I mean if he's disrespecting your religion that's kind of a huge issue in most workplaces.

I couldn't afford to quit... Its not like jobs are plentiful for my position. Once I finish my bachelor's yea... but not right now.

I still work there... but I changed to a different shift where I'm a lot happier. Theres a dude that is a gamer and an anime fan so I have fun chatting with him when things are slow.

But yea.. the boss from the other shift... there were a lot of times I'd go into the bathroom and cry and bite my arm so I didn't blow up at him and get fired... I almost got fired several times anyway..

@Kegi - my word against his.. and his word carried more weight because he was shift supervisor. None of the other fuckers on my shift would say anything against him either. Best part is now that I'm gone he's going after them now... and they're stuck .

I always told him when he went too far... that'd just make him get pissier ... and more vengeful. I don't think he understood how offensive he was being because Wicca was evil and bad and I couldn't possibly be offended over something like Satan worship...

He actually tried to keep me from changing shifts too... he kept telling me about how much the supervisor on that shift hated me and how miserable I was going to be.

But I did it anyway... and am much better for it.

Still, you should report that.

That's why you need to collect evidence. If he said anything in emails or on paper, you have those. And you could try to get recordings if possible. Harassment like that is a major offence.

I wonder, does he have any authority over you now that you're in a different shift? Cause you could rub it in his face that "Ha, I'm having a great time f*ckwad, what now?"

I tried to report it... but like I said... my words vs his.. and he was my superior so what I said didn't mean jack. Or they'd derail it and be like ... well yea he picks on you but you were late 3x this week (I was coming to work late because of the bullying... I didn't want to be there at all... but I had to pay the bills)

@Story - maryland state law says you cant record anyone unless you tell them youre doing it. So... I couldnt record him. And he never did it in email or paper save for the Christmas cards and I dont think those would have been good evidence.

@Librarian - nope he cant touch me now. He asks me to pick up hours on his shift all the time though and I always tell him Im busy. Im not sure he realizes what a bully he was ... or he does and just wants me back in his clutches again.

I swear that I'm the only person in this thread without really weird, messed up, or just outright shitty things happening to them. It's nothing to complain about, that's for sure, but it makes it kinda hard to relate to everyone else and makes me think that I'm living in some sort of strange dream land where there aren't people out to get you everywhere you turn.

Not that I don't sympathize, of course. It's just a random trend that I'm noticing.
