Bad weather was last night but the power outage was one from last night till this evening. One of the few places that had power was the mall I worked at so lo and behold, the place where no one ever goes to park was suddenly overrun and I was almost late. The mall was packed like the dickens, the number of bodies present defeated the purpose of the mall being the only place with air condition (100 degrees these past few days).

And about three hours into my shift, the mall had no water, the outages caused some issue with the water station so the mall was basically a nightmare. I didn't get a proper drink until I got home about thirty minutes ago! We had a rush of people who were there for the movies or needed a refund from the incident last night and then when the water was gone, we stopped selling tickets and after hours of meandering and running out of damn near every bottled drink we own, we partially closed down and some of us got to go home.

So Syd, how was your adventures in DC Metro area blackouts?

@Story: As long as he tones down the random posting he should be okay. None of the thumped posts were aggressive or anything, they were just random and offtopic.

@Gex: Yeah, we do derail a bit, but posting random stuff when everybody else is having an actual conversation is usually a bad idea.

Well Ginger was permabanned. Other than that, nothing major has happened.

@Turtle: Sound like you're right on the edge of your grid or something. I remember once a car took out a power line and our lights when out but the houses across the street were okay.

Well I remember Best Of complained about it once. Though I think it's a little unfair given that as a really long and active thread, you'd expect there to be bad stuff every once in a while.

You need to be careful, Gex. The mods don't like random crap like that. Too many thumpings, and they'll show you the door.

Im 30 or so minutes from DC, and I got stuck on a bridge for around 2 hours last night (from 1130 to 130 am.) There are only 2 bridges to get across the river to the peninsula I live on, and both were closed due to down wires.

I have power but the people across the street don't. There are branches down everywhere, and supposedly we are getting more storms tonight.

Yeah, I doubt the ratio of troublesome posts to regular posts is any worse than any other thread; it's just that this one is so big that it naturally generates more stuff like that.

@Light: He went on a massive rant in the Fallout Equestria thread, basically yelling at the author for writing a character in a way he didn't like. On it's own it wasn't that much worse than some other things he's posted, but he's had run-ins with the mods before over stuff like this, and he had used up his other chances. We created a skype chat to talk to him.
