It was inevitable. There's a ton of interpretations and everyone thinks their pet interpretation is right. Since the info we have makes some personalities more likely to get jossed than others, people are being people and being knee jerk as usual.

I like that from what we know so far it looks like Luna is being proactive about getting ponies to like her. All the fics I've read Celestia practically has to drag her out of the castle to get her to mingle with other ponies.

Yeah, I don't care for emo!Luna either. So I'm not complaining that the show doesn't appear to be going that way. I kinda like the idea that she wants to get out and do stuff, but she's been stuck in the moon so long that she has no clue what she's doing.

Just the facial hair alone makes him awesome. I would kill for the ability to grow that.

I have a slight preference toward trickster!Luna (even though I'm currently writing a cold, pragmatic Luna in my fic >.>), but in the end I don't really care what they decided for her as long as she's distinct from the other ponies.
