@Psi: I didn't know you were british either. Huh.
@JT:"As a whole, no. I do think particular sketches get...repeated until they lose all meaning".
This apply's to Family guy as well.

Yep, I am an American nut Brit though so it's not surprising it didn't show.
I think Monty Python is a bit overrated, it has some great gags, but it's only that handful of them that are all that iconic, most others are chuckle worthy or kinda dull.
I admit the US beats us mostly in the animation department though. From what I know the only thing we've been exporting well is Wallace & Gromit and Thomas And Friends. The rest is just sort of cult stuff.
Huh didn't know Applelight was Irish, and yes Father Ted is a big plus.

Christ on a crutch! It makes me glad the only run ins with cops I've had are the kind involving traffic. Though even they were asses for the most part. I'm honestly not sure how thoroughly corrupt the police are in my area, but there has been at least one instance of an off-duty officer drawing his side arm and killing someone within the last three years.
At least it's not as bad as the K Athryn Johnston incident. Or practically anyhing in New Orleans.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
