First shot: expanded opening?
Second shot: Flashback episode? Or perhaps she's going undercover in a hilariously transparent disguise?

Omg is Luna taking revenge?
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
C. S. Lewis
I have the distinct feeling her character isn't going to go that direction.
I can, however, imagine some sort of episode where she decides to catch up on what life is like a millennium later, and goes "undercover" to see what ordinary ponies do now. As such, that face would be more of a "mwahaha, they'll
never realize it's me!" kind of thing. I would enjoy that sort of story more.

Yeah one of them looks like the new opening.
^^That would be fantastic. And it means we get some more
Large Ham from Tabitha St. Germain, which is
never a bad thing.

I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!
I'd like to see if they crack any Jedi Mind-trick jokes with Luna :D
Yeah, I'm hoping it's that.
It's probably either something like that, or a flashback to 1000 years ago, for whatever reason. I'd prefer the former.
While I'm at it, I hope that the picture's legit in the first place.

"I am definitely not Luna. My name is, um,
Selene..."

I'll admit, that did influence my thought process. I dunno. It just feels like the right sort of story for her to be in, if the episode isn't an adventurey one.

Well... yeah, kind of. There are
some differences with the plot that I'm imagining. For one, it'd be Luna deciding on her own to go out and "undercover", and it'd be a
Paper-Thin Disguise rather than ont that actually works and... other stuff. I dunno. Again, the fanfic sort of influenced my thought process here.

Hm... Calling the episode plot right now: Luna looks absolutely evil to everyone, even though she is genuinely being nice (she just has really bad dramatic timing, and a chessmaster-prone personality doesn't help). Moral is: Don't let what someone has done in the past colour your perception of them in the present. Give them the benefit of the doubt.
They have a dramatic session of immersive gaming? Could be good for a laugh.
Luna meting Twlight because there love is not aloud, but someone found them so Luna got mad
That she's mad at someone for interrupting her and her girlfriend.
That, or she's a bit of a mischief maker and realised the prank potential at her hooftips.
