If'n I'm honest Sereg, I can't think of a single moment where she displayed "hypercompetency" or got unrealistic reactions from other ponies in Season One. Then again, I'm heatstroking right now, so maybe I ain't thinkin' clearly. Just Pinkie seems more over-the-top in season 2 than in season 1.

... am Ah suddenly typing in Applejack's accent? Gawsh, Ah've had this avatawr for too long...

To name one off the top of my head, Swarm of the Century. For hypercompetency. Or at least it was treat as such rather than. Why, Pinkie, why oh why did you not explain?

The party canon had been established. My rule is that if you establish something, stick with it. Plus, in my mind, that's earth pony magic.tongue But Pinkie was pulling worse out of nowhere in Griffin the Brush off.

And really, I've never hated Pinkie. I've just been annoyed with her and the fact that they didn't use her flaws. She's grown on me a lot since early episodes.

EDIT: Swarm of the Centuary is indeed one. As is Feeling Pinkie Keen, as is Griffin the Brush off, as is Sonic Rainboom.

More over the top in Season Two than Season One?

Sorry, I don't see it. Her introduction, SOTC, OAB, TBNE, all show her to be over the top and 'odd' to most ponyfolk.

I have no idea why Cranky never searched Ponyville. One would have thought it would have been one of the first places he looked. Of course, she may not have lived there when they met.

Oh, you all have never heard of the "Pinkie Partition."

For all her attempts to make friends, there is only so much friendship to go around. So sometimes she has to lose the affection of some bronies in order to grow it with another. It's similar to how you have to make less room on one hard drive partition in order to gain space on another... at least if I understand this computer book right. Darnfangled machines never did make much sense.

The bottom line is, that some of you like Pinkie less is directly related to Sereg liking her more. If he stopped liking her, you'd like her again. The Partition is magic!

s for unrealistic reactions, Swarm of the Century's ending. Even in Over a Barrel she was never called out for almost starting a war!

Pinkie really does have the best taste in instruments.

Ginger: I don't remember. Honestly, I haven't watched that episode in ages.

@Freeman I find it criminal that we only support red, blue, and purple, yet not the other colors of the rainbow. I can understand if they skip indigo, but no orange? Come on.

@bad Matilda, you mean? She's probably in her late 50's, but nowhere near as old as Granny Smith.

I don't think we're given a timeframe in AFID. They both took place in Sepia-time though XD

Does Mulia (the donkey in MM Myestey) live in Ponnyville too?

And I don't think Cranky or Matilda are older than Granny Smith.

@ginger Actually, AFID used black and white, not sepia. I liked the distorted music that came with that segment, because it seemed really realistic.

Proof.

You know, maybe I'm looking into this too far, but I don't think any amount of annoyingness from Pinkie was ever a bad thing in AFID. Obviously, it was in Cranky's best interest to be happy, but he never understood that. So what if Pinkie was annoying? If you truly cared about your friends, wouldn't you want them to be happy? Would it just be better to let him simmer in his misery just so you don't offend him further? That doesn't seem like a very nice thing to do in the end really. Unless I'm missing the point and it's that Pinkie just went about the whole thing in the wrong way, but Cranky still needs to be happy.

Yeah, I don't know.

Yeah, Matilda. And I thought Cranky was of a similar age to Granny Smith.

We actually had a character in WAAPT move over to our testing fora due to having the complete HTML color spectrum.
