I remember my Biology teacher telling me that I should be a straight A student and thinking "Um...No. Why does everyone have such high expectations of me? Biology is one of the few things I'm good at." I just smiled and nodded though.

Pretty much same thing end of Grade 10 to 11, when my Maths teacher said "If you really tried, you would do really well in Maths B" and I was liek "Um, yeah sure, I fall asleep in class what am I doing here".

I didn't really have rivalries with anyone, though a couple of people had rivalries with ''me'' which was stupid as I was well aware of the fact that they usually beat me. They didn't have to remaind me.

There were plenty of people whom I was well aware were in a different league to me though.

EDIT: Oh, I've known plenty of Aces. My first crush was on one.

Ginger how was the class scored? Surely if you are concerned about the skill of your work you merely need to look over the marks given on your papers/tests to see if what is true.

We both have the same areas of interest (but he knows more than me)

We're both the source of most of the class' comedy (but he's funnier and more sociable)

The 80's is both our favourite decade.

That girl that was my first crush? My friend and I used to joke that she was actually identical triplets. Because how else could someone do that much so perfectly?

Then, when I needed to do my Masters proposal, I found ou that I was scheduled to go after another Ace. (He was legendary for being the best in my honours group) and I thought "I'm going to sound like an idiot after him!" but luckily the order was changed.

EDIT: Clearly, we need to call Ginger's rival "Gingertwo.".
