It would be nice if the elements liberated the pony soul powering it from the thing.
Maybe it's a cycle. The mass gets sent back into the land of dreams by the elements. At some point some pony falls into the realm itself and ends up powering it, then the thing escapes again.
Only it gets stronger each time due to all the fear that it keeps accumulating over the millenia

Sorry, I always get carried away and end up making these things too dark >.<

So any Pokemon fans want to rofl over this new fact I learned in Black and White 2?
In spoiler text of course. Or I'll post the image.

Everything's been done. Everything has a meaning. However your life at best is to serve as a building block for others.
@Bad I wouldn't call it an actual land. More like the sort of place you just END up in should you give in to despair.
They could conclusively destroy the hostile sapience in the mass. So it'll never try to take another pony again

I know you dont like Pinkie Much.. but what about one of her Emo breaks being what initially draws the thing to Ponyville... where it slowly starts infecting dreams?
If you have to ask, you'll never know...

I'd prefer a conclusive victory though. The Mane Six haven't had enough of those.
In 1000 years, they will once again be arguing about tickets and who cheated more.

I think that'd be pretty cool, Turtlebutter.
Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.
That might work.
Though, as I said, the thing doesn't have a physical presense in Equestria initially. It needs to gather
FEAR first

@absolclaw Deep down I pulled a "I FREAKING NEW IT" over the fact that Iris is now the Champion of Unova

@Bad Probably. It could even go to possess her, letting her look inside the mass to see all the fear and hatred that ponies feel towards the night and the things within it.
Then she powers away from it in a rage and becomes Nightmare Moon. Ending up back in Equestria
Oh, I hope that made sense

Nightmare Moon depends on Luna staying good.
That's it, she should be the ponifed Hulk.

@absolclaw Well I have a fondness for the kid for some reason.

Hulk being fueled by the darkside is a pretty scary thought.

@ Ginger: Gives into despair about ponies not liking the night, stumbles into fear monster which makes her more fearful about ponies hating the night (the fear has been doubled), instead of being a vessel for the fear monster though she blasts it away and makes her own vengeance. Right? If so it made sense to me.
Tealove is best pony.

I highly doubt Chrysalis would die from a fall

There's no way they died from that. Probably the only thing they can die of is lack of love.

Chrysalis probably just thought "Screw this place, lets go to Appleloosa" instead.
