Also watch out. Mousa has a mean backhand.

Just what kind of pigeon is a deathpigeon anyway? The name gives me images of a carrier pigeon whose messages are all pages from the Death Note.

You don't seem to mind when people call you silly nicknames. Why is capitalizing your screen name out of habit such a big deal?

@Surprise:

I WILL find a place to use that.

[up]As best I understand it, it's like... okay. My name is Ian, right? Most people assume it's spelled with an E since it's pronounced EE-an, but it's not. So I had this one guy in high school who called me E-dog. I was cool with that, because it's a nickname. It's not a mistake on my actual name, or a corruption of it, it's a different means of referring to me.

Meanwhile when some people first found out how my name was spelled they took to calling me AI-an. This bothered me, because it was a corruption on my actual name. It was JUST similar enough that it came across as a failure.

E-dog was a new word for the same identity. Ai-an was a corruption of both the word AND the identity.

Not sure if that makes sense, but that's what I think the issue is.

A nasty backhand indeed, I have tons of practice, you'd be surprised how many annoying moments need to be dismissed with a light tap to the head NCIS style. Speaking of which *smacks Surprise upside the head. Hands off before I call in the Mentally Advanced Ponies on you, they are not afraid of murder, sans Rainbow Dash.

Oy vey, I'm doing the thing again where everything is obvious to me... Sorry deathpigeon.

@surpise: Messenger pigeons carrying letters of death.

I love interesting psychopomps. One of my favourites was a reaper who wasn't a harvester, but a scholar - he exempified that the person's story was up, and he took their souls by closing the book of thier life when the final line was written.

Carrier pigeons with letters of death could reflect on a religion that emphasizes devotion and servitude. The god of this religion calls his children back when their time has come by sending them a pigeon with the message. alternatively, it could be in the context that they believe their souls to be immortal and the pigeons tell them when it's time to move on to the next life.

Hee, a human who thinks he's tough. That's cute. But... "mentally advanced ponies?" You mean Princess Luna?

Mousa, Mentally Advance ponies would be effective. But a bit messy. I personally recommend calling Dan and his army of Fluffy ponies. Nothing clears out a room faster than those guys.

Hurr hurr.

Althought that reminds me of something I think I read once, where every crow was charged with ferrying a single human's soul to the afterlife, which is why crows flock to battlefields afterwords - they take the souls of the fallen warriors.
