You can't make apple pie without breaking a few apples.

I'm sure there's a topology expert somewhere who would dispute that.

You know what would be a great idea? If a film or series got made titled "My Little Pony Forever".

What's that? Well, just think of it as Turtles Forever, but with ponies instead of turtles.

You could have a lot of cool moments from this, like the Mane 6 travelling between generations and having culture shock to the other generations. I can picture Pinkie Pie seeing Generation 3.5, making a disgusted expression and saying, "And I thought I was sappy-wappy!" Then you could have them reach Rescue At Midnight Castle and have some interesting reactions, like Twilight Sparkle thinking that Generation 1 Twilight is her mom, and Rainbow Dash surprised to meet Firefly, who seems to be a match for her.

I can also picture moments like multiple Spikes interacting with each other, and Generation 4 Applejack making a comment about Generation 1 Applejack being like Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves, as well as noticing that Megan reminds her of herself. Then you could have ponies like Apple Bloom, Fluttershy, and Firefly become visibly upset when they find out that there are no equivalents to them in the other generations.

How about you? Do you think this is a good idea?

Good idea, although I'm not sure bronies would be familiar/like the earlier generations.

@Tiggers Are Great - I actually tried to do a fanfic like that once, although it was strictly crossovers with G1. That's actually what started the Surprise sockpuppet.

If I could do it as animation, you can bet I'd be all over it like Big Macintosh on Cheerilee.
