I think I can understand why Twilight would freak if she can't think of any new reports to send. The reports were originally a pretense, you know, a reason for her to stay in Ponyville.

Now apply her seemingly signature overreactions to all things Celestia, and you can see how that would mutate into "I'm going to have to leave!"

Of course, Celestia's far more understanding than that, and a reaffirmation of such will resolve the plot.

But more importantly, this being the first episode of season 2 proper, it's a great excuse to ditch the blatant Aesops at the end of each episode, while retaining the tone of the series. Doing it this early on helps.

People like and dislike different things.

For example, I'm the only brony in the world who hates Pinkie Pie.

You know, I haven't seen a single fanfiction with Discord in it. I'm suprised. I thought he'd be rather popular with the fanfic community, seeing how he totally changes the villain dynamic.

No. It's because I dislike how "powerful" she is. Even if it runs on Rule of Funny. I don't find it funny, so it comes off as obnoxious and demeaning to the mane cast's various talents. (especially her fellow Earth Pony AJ)

That and she's always right (I'm looking at you Swarm o the Century and Feeling Pinkie Keen), or messes things up for the rest of the cast

I heard somepony made a fic about the 'screwball' pony in ROH part 2 around six hours after the ep aired.

Well she is really funny at first but I can understand how it would get a bit grating sometimes. Especially after rewatching FPK.

Exactly. In small doses, or when she's played seriously (Party Of One) Pinkie works.

When she's one of the focuses, that's when I lose my patience

Heck, Akinator could get her the day that episode came out.

I love Pinkie because she's the opposite of myself. She's a fun loving extrovert who see's the best in everyone and everything. I wish I was more like that.

But...I can see how she's not to everyone's tastes.
