@Applelight: I think anything can be done well so if you think you can make it work feel free, but personally I think Idiot Heros are waaaaay overdone and not very compelling.

I love Rarity too, I'd rather have her visit us than Applejack! Especially since this AJ is so out of character.

Japanese people like Idiot Heroes. Practically every anime/manga I've ever seen has had one.

Most American cartoons do too, of course. I'm glad MLP didn't go that route though, otherwise we wouldn't have Twilight.

Terry Pratchett has a rare talent for writing likable idiots.

Idiot heroes can be funny if written well. Like I couldnt imagine a serious work with an idiot hero but a Comedy? Sure!

We all know that Rarity is better then AJ. To be honest, I use to think that AJ was bland and boring when I first started watching the show. This changed over time, and I've grown to like AJ, but she's still my least favorite out of the mane 6.
