Yeah, I'm almost certain that you can't get a cm that you regret later. But the story seems like a good idea.

I had this vision of a husky and meek little colt who gets picked on a lot, who had a Luchador as a hero. One day, he has enough, and fights back...this was the day his super strength was unleashed, and he does some series ass whooping. That sets him on the track to traing to become the best, turning himself into the giant steel hoofed wrecking machine he is today.

Only the one in MMDW was really Uncanny Valley to me. Their design improved immensely for the Cake Twins.

If I were more cynical, I would say that sufficient disillusionment with your life thanks to either some sort of betrayal or tragedy would be enough to cause one to resent their mark, or even outright reject its meaning. Of course, they'd be in denial of who they really are if they did that.

Personally I find the eyes to be main reason for their uncanny-ness

@Applelight: Usually everypony finds out what's wrong and trys to help the affected pony, but if it goes too far they might get sent for therapy.

I don't exactly prescribe to that particular bit of fanon, so I can't tell you. I prefer to see it as just general stress/depression related stuff rather than any magical condition.
