Is Cupcakes!Pinkie the same as Pinkamena Diane Pie?

Or are they two different things within the fandom?

I like Muffin Derpy , it cutie and one of fanon about her that I can't image her without it.

That's like saying that Fluttershy wants to be a tree because- oh wait!

I don't know, I've been enjoying the heck out of these "Trollestia" images, and nothing wrong with an alternate interpretation if it's all in good fun.

No, it would more be like completely ignoring everything else about Fluttershy and making every aspect of her character tree related.

You can't really compare the Muffin Derpy and Fluttertree.

The reason the muffin thing is so popular is because that's literally the only line of dialogue that the character has. It's not like the canon is being trampled on or anything because there's no canon to ignore.

But yeah, I have nothing wrong with the character liking muffins, but the obsession gets a little overdone sometimes. Not a big fan of "Retard Derpy" though; I tend to think of her as Genius Ditz with a bit of Cloud Cuckoolander on the side.

For the most part I don't actively dislike most of the memes, (except for Sweetie Poo and Cupcakes Pinkie, those need to die in a fire) it's just that they get parroted way beyond the point that they're still funny. Like Trollestia. Some of those jokes are genuinely entertaining, but when it gets to the point that people are calling Celestia a troll literally any time she does anything, it goes from being a joke to being annoying, especially when people try to insert the memes into canon.

I know it's all we have to go on regarding Derpy, but I'm always annoyed when fans take an interest (Derpy clearly at least enjoys muffins) and turn it into an obsession.

Is it me, or has the Tyrant Celestia meme kinda died down a lot?

Of course she means, you are the new representative of the element of loyalty. Because Dash ain't here.

But should Spike represent the element of loyalty? Is Spike more loyal than RD? I think he is. I don't think Spike would abandon his friends to save Canterlot. I think Spike should hold the necklace, as long as he doesn't eat it.

I dunno lol.

Dinky/Derpy always struck me as being great as an epic deliverymare, able to ignore physics to deliver the mail. She just happens to like muffins, but it's just her snack of choice.

But it's an actual name used in the show proper. I actually prefer it because it doesn't sound as... well... insulting as "Derpy". It still describes her as a bit out-there, but it's not as bad-sounding.

Anyway.

As for memes from this episode I dislike... The "Twilight raped her friends to turn them back to normal" one. That's just stupid and overly crude. It undermines the heartwarming nature of that whole sequence (which starts with her re-reading her letters) for no real reason. And it doesn't even fit that well.

As for Adventure vs. Slice of Life, I like both. The latter, though, can carry the show longer, I think, mainly because in terms of Adventure stories, they really only have one weapon. The Slice of Life tales are very nice at playing the personalities of the cast on each other. However, I'm happy to hear that there will be more two-parters in the upcoming season. Of course, those don't necessarily mean adventure stories, but it's likely.

Trollestia or Molestia?

The first one involves her pranking or getting a rise out of her subjects, or playing The Chessmaster.

The second one needs to go die in a fire, really.

The idea that an immortal supreme being needs to find ways to entertain herself by inconveniencing her subjects in various ways? Hilarious.

Trolluna is more interesting, it gives her a little sister dynamic with Celestia. Plus, that one fanfic snippet where she deliberately leaves a whole cake in her sister's room :D

There's one Luna+socks fanfic wherein they play up Trolluna with magical pranks, playing music at high volumes, and other things like that.

Adventure style doesn't mean only Mane Cast finding Element to kick some super villain. It can be just like Dragonshy or Dog And Pony Show.

I don't have a problem with light Trollestia. The idea that a 1000 year old goddess would get bored and start having some (mostly harmless) fun with her subjects is kind of interesting and adds more to Celestia's character. Even major Trollestia can be good for comedic stuff, though it does get a little old

Tyrant Celestia, while it may be pure fanon, is good for AU stories and dramatic stuff, and can also be somewhat interesting. Of course, as long as they don't assume that it's canon, there shouldn't be a problem with it

Molestia...well, I haven't really come across much of that, so I can't really say anything about it

They might stuck in some place wierd with Luna when a field trip goes bad.

The threat of a huge misunderstanding or falling-out, for one. Perhaps it's an episode where Rarity is offered a prestigious job in, say Canterlot, and the cliffhanger is over the reveal that she has to decide whether to stay with her friends or advance her career and live where she's always dreamed of living. Something like that.

He didn't say there would be only one more two-parter, but yeah that could be interesting.

About lesbian Dash, while I think the way it came about wasn't right, I don't think disliking the way something came about is a reason to dislike the thing itself. For example, I don't like how Fi M had to come about through the My Little Pony franchise, but I clearly like it. I think Lesbo Dash can still be done interestingly and/or add some cuteness to her. Like this (one of my favorite Lesbo Dash pics)◊

Honestly, I really don't have a problem with most fanon in general, it actually tends to be more enjoyable than the canon lots of the time. I like the idea of it because it's all about creating characters and interpreting characters in certain ways that can make the show more interesting, enjoyable and fun. I can even stand ones that portray the characters in a completely different way than they were written (Tyrant Celestia, Cupcakes Pinkie, Lesbo Dash) as long as all the parties involved understand that it's not canon, which I believe most of them seem to. Also, I don't think the fandom would be nearly as fun or interesting without fanon. Without fanon, Ditzy would just be another random background pony, Celestia would just be a boring, perfect, demigod ruler, Luna wouldn't even have a character until Season 2, and half of the Dash fan pairings wouldn't be nearly as cute
