@Steve That wasn't the aesop at all. The lesson in the letter at the end was actually directed at Gilda, in regards to controlling ones own behavior when your friend wants to split time between their other friends.

I am under the impression that out of all of them Trixie might make another appearance.
She does have her own toy, after all.

Pardon me, but I haven't really been keeping track, but what's this theoretical episode we're discussing? Ah, it seems to be similar to that Batman episode.

If I were to have an ideal episode, I'd like a Rashomon-esque tale, that could be quite interesting I'd think.

Actually, Pinkie was right about Gilda all along. Twilight thought she was just jealous of Gilda, when that had nothing to do with it.

What? No, halfway through the episode Pinkie went and complained to Twilight that Gilda was hogging Rainbow from her. Twilight pointed out that the two of them wanted some time to themselves and she should leave them alone. She agreed to do so, having realized that she was being a clingy jealous pony, but then she saw Gilda do all her mean things and decided to throw a party to try to change her attitude.

The show still pointed out that she was letting her jealousy ruin her friendship.

@con What I mean is, If a film is truly bad, one should be able to articulate why without resorting to broad, sweeping terms like "It was lame"

I really don't like debating about the moral of the episode.

[up] But... it was.

Yeah, I primarly just want Trixe to come back. I'd take her return over the much overrated Flim-Flam bros bros any day.-_-

Con: Yea, I don't see them coming back either. Plus putting them all in one room would probably result in flat our chaos rather than storytelling.

Also, even given as condescending as Ginger worded it, I think it's reasonable to expect an explanation for why you considered the movie lame.

Hi! I'm waiting for the house to settle, then I can get some drawing done. Maybe.

I think it's time to try Patches.

@Blue Oh, I thought you were talking about Pinkie being wrong about Gilda not being a nice person. There were multiple layers going on there, which is cool.

Blue: To be fair, that was also after Gilda forced Pinkie's flying machine to crash. That's kind of a red flag right there.

OK, it's just, c'mon!

Yeah, he lost all his money and he misses his dead trainer and then there's the end with the statue. It's just, a lot of it is pretty narmful.

You don't think it's a little bit lame?

I don't think you were condescending Ginger. Maybe a little bit hostile.

that was in full out Rule of Funny mode though.

If I understand the current topic correctly, we're talking about the 'layers' of episode morals right?

Or something.

Meanwhile, taking a break from Planescape Torment to listen to Sviridov. Nice music.

Also got a CD of Samuel Ramey singing villain songs from operas. Bryn Terfel did a similar thing.

The whole thing with him not spending time with his son because he's training the other guy, that was... (sigh). I can't really explain what it is that makes something lame, I guess.
