TTGL is the show Kamina comes from, right? Only saw ep1 and half of ep2. It didn't exactly inspire me to see more.

But I'm alone in my complete disinterest in Avatar. And I'm just waiting for the predictable joke where someone pretends I'm talking about the movie with the blue people and not the anime-wannabe cartoon series.

I've never seen it, nor do I feel inclined to.

Loved ATLA, not so crazy about Korra talk, only because I haven't started watching it yet.

This forum's version of Surprise seems... slightly sociopathic.

I enjoyed ATLA, but I don't think it's as good as everyone says it is

@Turtlebutter - TTGL is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, an anime about miners who discover a giant robot and... ummm... something. It has this guy named Kamina who is always making over-the-top proclamations and wears shades that have become a meme now.

@Ginger - Yeah, Avatar was okay. Just it annoys me that people put it on this pedestal just because "OMG it has a story! That means its like anime!" nevermind that anime didn't even invent the serial storytelling format.

I'd say ATLA is at least a million degrees better than Teen Titans, but its still just an American cartoon that's trying hard to pass itself off as anime, and would succeed except it terribly misses the mark at several key points.

I have never watched TTGL. However, I did watched an abridged version of the first season, which I found quite entertaining.
