Unicorns probably made up artillery, thinking they could kill anything before it reached them. The high speed blitzkrieg of the Pegasi proved that wrong.

Earth Ponies I could see as large forces but undisciplined and untrained mostly, easily beaten by the well trained and armed Pegasi.

I imagine unless using tornados in battle has been deemed a war crime, the pegasi would press every advantage.

For the big clusters or fortified positions yeah. Strategic bombardment would be lightning against high ranking enemy combatants.

@ The Doctor you should be more concerned about how she's getting them, I have yet to find a version of Equestria with living humans on it....no mater what every single Lyra I've met says.

@ Surprise, almost infinite, but very few of them have the key harmonic structures to serve as primary nexuses. If something happens to one of those, the shock could alter or destroy a large chunk of the Equestrian multiverse, so PLEASE show me how you are getting humans and where you come from before it's to late.

Spider Thingy - trope for spider like creatures, what ever they are just Artistic License spiders, or fictional/real creatures similar to spiders? I'm about making YKTTW. It could have that awesome spider thing from Luna Eclipsed as picture.

Actually, the Pegasi could make a big tornado to sweep aswide the enemy, but there could be ways to counter that.

Case in point, EP Mangonels (Stallionels?) or Trebuchets hurling pumkins or melons into their vortex, knocking them out...as OAB showed...food in the hooves of E Ps is a deadly weapon.
