Actually the DAN thing came about the same way as Steven Magnet. Tom/Dan appeared onscreen and the youtube caption thing mistranscribed the dialogue as Dan.

I really liked this one, though it suffered from the same problems as Part 1: the pacing was really rushed at times and the resolution came way too quickly.

Well, that's it for Season One-And-A-Half, can't wait to see the first episode of Season Two in three weeks!

I still don't see what your problem with Discord was. He saved a lot of the episode for me by being completely awesome. I don't know why him being stronger than NM irks you so much. Sorting Algorithm of Evil and all that.

I think we already had a huge discussion about this, and since I covered this in one of my blog posts I don't see much point in going over it again.

Especially since now it's arguable he's not more powerful, which makes the whole issue moot.

I think this episode turned out pretty well. I especially found it sweet how Twilight used memories from the first season to snap her friends back.

I feel like it would have been a little more meaningful if Twilight used her friendship reports instead of her magic to bring them back. Also, even though I don't mind Twilight using her magic, it would have been nice for each of the characters to have their own two second flashback as well.

Also, I'm hearing a lot of people say that Flutterbitch was awesome/funny. Am I the only one who thought that was depressing? Heck, the corrupted ponies in general.

If Twilight and Spike COULD INDEED see that her friends were gray, wouldn't she realize immediately in the labyrinth that their rudeness were part of Discord's powers and that they, therefore, DIDN'T REALLY hate her anymore?! This whole ordeal in the second episode could've been avoided if Twilight realized they didn't mean what they said.

Twi was stressed and not thinking clearly.

On a more positive note re: Discord, did anyone but me get the feeling he had a crush on Twilight?

I kind of felt the same way. I know I was supposed to laugh at most of the corupted ponies antics (especially the library scene), but I really couldn't bring myself to.

Keep in mind that nega-ponies went through two color changes. The first one may have been hard to distinguish in pony eye sight.

upon my second viewing, y'know what my favourite part of the episode was?

When Discord is confronted by the mane cast at the end, he takes a glass of chocolate milk, DRINKS THE GLASS, leaving the chocolate inside, he then throws the chocolate over his shoulder and it EXPLODES.

That's the most badass thing I've ever seen. I hope it becomes a meme, I really do
