gave Mrs Brisby magic levitation powers

No, I mean what problems did it solve? I was wondering so I could tell you what happened in the book instead.

Its admittedly a very personal 'style' of story. At its worst it can feel like nothing is happening, I'll admit. There have been Ma Vs. Self I've really loved, and ones I haven't enjoyed so much.

Mostly the genre is used to impart an idea or message, so that's always hit-and-miss on its own. I like to study viewpoints and consider them to adapt them into my own, but I understand that some people just want simplicity in their media.

[up]She pulls up her house, which was sinking in the mud and had her children trapped inside, and moves it into place in the lee of the stone.

Oh, in the books the rats had a team move it using lots of levers and pulleys and stuff. And they had to put the cat to sleep first with a drug so they could work in peace , which is how Mrs. Brisby got captured. Also, the problem wasn't that it was sinking, the problem was that it would be destroyed when the Farmer plowed the field, and Timmy was too sick to move before then.

@Kegi Hey, I never said I didn't like that sort of thing, just not when it's the primary focus of the work in question. I think it's perfectly capable of accentuating a good story with some more meaning if done well.

I still don't get why you don't like HP Mo R. It has everything you say you want.

@Story: All that is still in place in the movie; it's just that Jenner cuts the ropes while the house is moving, dropping it right on Nicodemus's head.

In every sense of the word? Does that mean there's a video game where you have to defeat him?

Also, another background pony's voice confirmed: Cathy Weseluck was Amethyst Star in "The Mysterious Mare Do Well"

Now that she confirmed it, it totally sounds like her. There's that distinctive tone.

The book was more interesting to me than the cartoon, but the animated little Mrs Frisby and family was cute :3 She's an awesome mother.

She using her right forehoof for the turntable, Kuroi? The angles and positioning looks a little odd.
