Carrot Top/Golden Harvest seems to be an interesting pony, but I know nothing about her. What kind of pony is she?

@Sky Carrot Top is a strange one. She really doesn't have any distinguishing features. At all. She still has a lot of fanon attached to her, though. She tends to get played as the Straight Mare to Derpy's antics at the basic level.

Well with Lyra there's also her supposed Human obsession that's became popular thanks to a scene in one of the episodes that had her sitting down like a person in contrast to the rest of the pony's. And of course there is also the Lyra and Bonbon pairing too, which may or may not have been awknoledged by the storyboard artist's depending on how you view certain scenes in season two.

@Ginger: Someone on the show must have taken a liking to Lyra's design, because she's often used as the pony hopping gleefully in the back of crowd scenes, or being especially expressive, even in the early episodes before the fans latched on to her. Its just little things like that that gets a pony noticed by the fans, and once someone creates some appealing fanon about that pony, things snowball. I also think she has a really appealing design, the minty green look is really nice, so that probably helps.

I think junebug may have lost some popularity be virtue of actually being named on the show.
It seems to be getting harder for background ponies to become big with the fans, probably because we've already got so many that we're already focusing on. It seems to help if they become connected in some way with existing fanon, like the pony that got added to the Hooves family.

Actually, listening to Junebug's voice again, I'm almost convinced that Spike's own VA is doing the voice there, just using a higher pitched version of Spike's own voice.

Well, I just got done watching Congo, and now I'm wondering what a pony version of that film would be like. Anyone else seen that movie before? It's...... Certainly something else, that's for sure.

Crowfall: Re: Plushies: The good ones sell for a ton. As in the ones created by people who have been sewing for years and know what they're doing. If anyone remembers that plushie I made way back, I had a very basic pattern, but practically not sewing experience and it took me forever for something I don't think I'd get $10 for.
