but..why would they NEED swimsuits in the first place?

I can see a practical reason for trunks or some other bottom covering, but it requires the show to then be acknowledging there are unseen...areas..in which getting wet sand would be really uncomfortable

I want the Sea Ponies to be introduced seeking out the Princess for help. (like maybe there's a small stream that runs from the land of the sea ponies to Canterlot castle or something that they use to contact her)
