@Ginger: Applejack does extremely well at first, actually looks pretty even. Then Applejack goes ahead and pushes Havoc's Berserk Button. You haven't seen Havocwing angry yet, apparently.

It's very easy to miss. You pretty much have to know where and when it is to notice it. Also, I thought the exposition in chapter 19 was poorly done.

@ Ginger: Well, as been said, she handles herself extremely well the entire fight, up until she pushes Havoc's Berserk Button. Considering that Havoc has, until this point, seen shown as dreadfully incompetent, I think it's fair to her that she gets one chance to kick some butt. Applejack brings it upon herself, it's not like she couldn't have won if she'd just stuck to fighting and ignored the taunting.
