@Ginger They're a stunt team first, military squadron second. I wouldn't expect the Blue Angels to be competent in a dogfight.

@Doctor: But how am I suppose rp as Orion greet Orion? He might not be the same when I last met him.

@Perpetual I know, but they seem like a goto team (along with Celestia) to pit against a threat and have fail to make the situation look extra serious and make the eventual success by the heroes look all the more impressive.

It's only happened twice for them so far, I'll have to see if it happens again in season 3

@Ginger You mean the one threat that they were ever sent in against? One occurrence is nothing you can base anything off of, and they actually did quite well considering what they were up against. With Rarity, they simply happened to be right there, and it's pretty easy not to expect to be kicked in the face by the person you're rescuing if you're not trained for that exact situation.

I'm surprised that sequels were made. Sales have been disapointing so far.

@Perpetual And what happened in Sonic Rainboom.

i don't mean JUST threats, I mean ANY perilous or important situation where their failure would serve to increase tension

Rainbow Dash shouldn't try to get into the Wonderbolts anymore!

She can make her group! With blackjack! And hookers!

You know what? You can forget the group and the blackjack!
Everything's been done. Everything is meaningless. You life at best is to serve as a building block for others.

The wonderbolts sort of remind me of the Blue Angels ... hightly trained fighter pilots that are technically part of the millitary but more for show than combat maneuvers.

That whole getting knocked out saving someone is true even for trained people if there' unlucky, had a guy go overbaord (by choice) on our ship, one of the rescue divers got a broken nose and had to be pulled out of water himself as well trying to get the jumper.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool. My random thoughts

@Ginger Which only happened... twice. Again, nothing you can base any trend on, especially since they have had just as many other appearances where that hasn't happened.

@Turtle Word Of God is that's who they're based off of.

@Lurker I'm just saying. Let's see an episode where they actually get to resolve the conflict (the way Tia resolved several episodes), then maybe I'll stop complaining [lol]

@Colin

He is the same sweetheart he was always been on the inside... We had an adventure with Jack and Derpy says he has become a lot like him. But I am not that sure. Jack has a longer hair for instance

You should have seen him defeating the razaluians on flexor 5 or the Dalek's fleet on equestria's orbit on.... Oh I think I said too much

Did I mention his tail is now a fixed point in time...?

@Ginger And have them be a Deus ex Machina? Why would you want that? The only way I can see that happening is an RD episode with a lesson in humility, which RD has already gotten before, so it would be redundant.

Wait a sec... I thought you liked when supposedly overpowered characters got put in their place? Now you want them to prove their competence?

@Perpetual Okay then, have them HELP in some way, and NOT have them be swept aside in some fashion as a cheap method of increasing tension [lol]

@Turtle They have to prove their competence first before being broken down

Maybe it's more outstanding because the Wonderbolts haven't had any successful roles yet. 2 looks more significant compared to 0 at least.

The Worf Effect is a destructive story method.

As for Rarity, it was a jerk moment for her, but she hammed it up way too much to be insufferable about it (that makeup tongue). She also got the point herself at the end and apologized very passionately. It was interesting to have an RD centered episode where RD herself wasn't being the jerk of the group.

And that would be great. I'm just saying that you have nothing to complain about with what's already there, though.

Also, I don't see how you can criticize Achron for having a time system that makes sense. If you want a competitive game, you can't just have writers making up nonsense as they go. Games need consistant rules.

@Lurker so how SHOULD I have felt during those scenes in Sonic Rainboom and SOME?
