Yeah, If Spike can ingest lava with no ill effects, taking several days of eating nothing but large amounts of ice cream to get a stomach ache is nothing out of the ordinary.

Oh, I just controlled Sixth's characters for one or two posts. I was able to keep them in character which isn't hard when they haven't really been developed.
