@Lyra: Twlight has a book on how to work on that sort of stuff, and Magic is her special talent, so that might explain how she figured it out so quickly.

But now I'm wondering why you didn't use the spell on Bonbon and bring her with. Did she not want to come with, or did you just not want to bring her with for whatever reason?

@Marston: I wanted to, but I had enough difficulty casting the spell once. I couldn't safely do it again. I didn't want to give out halfway through and drop her through the clouds or something. She wasn't all that interested in it anyway. I think she was happy to have the house to herself for a bit.
