Everyone goes on about how awesome Sat AM is... I couldn't get into it, personally.

Sonic felt too invincible

I remember reading a Robotnik origin comic back in the 80's in a Disney Adventures Magazine. He was a scientist that somehow ran into Sonic and designed the shoes he wears, but then one day while eating some hardboiled eggs for lunch he spilled his drink on his computer and got turned into an evil machine man mad scientist.

Im guessing that is no longer canon though

Because he and the other freedom fighters played with the Idiot ball. Seriously, their were at least a couple times were they could have captured Robotnik, but they didn't.

We get a new season.

Sonic Generations was fun. Short, but fun.

Actually I'm mixed about Sat Am Sonic, since as said before they tended to make him screw up so as to make Sally the show's Canon Sue. I agree however other characters seemed superfluous, Sally had the entire brains division and Sonic provided all the muscle they needed. Characters like Bunnie and Rotor just stayed in the background. In fact this has carried on over to the comics to this day. You could make the whole story about Sonic and Sally and little would be changed.

And yes, Generations was a superior nostalgia bomb to anything the Mario series has done. Seriously the hedgehog is always trying something new, yet the plumber always goes back to slavishly redone rehashes of the same old. The remade zones in Generations show their freshness, even the much-referenced Green Hill!

If there's anything cool the comics did, it was their greater focus on the roboticizer tech that the Fat Man always had, and the exploration of the dark dark themes that surrounded it.

I'm upset that other characters (especially Bunny) were demoted to extas. Istead they should develop them plus add and flesh out more Freedom Fighter and focus more on that organization.

Bunnie is essentially AJ with no Days In The Limelight. This I can find detrimental since I find a character like AJ rather dull when used as a side character. And come on, it was criminal they didn't focus on her cyborg powers more.

Antoine I think was also a problem, he was the team's Straw Loser, an embodiment of all their flaws, but as a result no one could really have their own shortcomings spotlighted in favor of his comic relief. Rotor was a geek, Antoine was an even bigger geek, Sally was physically powerless, Antoine was unable to take one step without screwing up.

Well people are lazy, so unless you make it obvious like Fallen Legend or Sixthhokage they probably won't bother.
