A practical solution that doesn't hurt anybody, so one might say impersonate a loved one for a few hours a day, what.s the harm? I mean we don't' even know if it's specifically romantic love, for all we know Changelings would make excellent babysitters because they would just be the kids's parents and feed off that love.
Oh, and gentlemen, Time for you daily heart attack◊.

@Mousa Again, it's the principle of the thing, NOT the practicality. He's USING them for food.
Again, this is what I figure he' be thinking.

I find this aforementioned changeling unworthy of their continued existence. If they are going to starve under extremely flimsy moral grounds then so be it, they starve.
There can be morals that contradict a survival instinct but that's just silly.
I mean we presume what the Changelings do is "wrong" in the first place, I'm not exactly seeing how it is.
Given the opportunity to negotiate terms with ponies they could probably very easily live in a mutually beneficial parasitic existence.
And now for your daily d'aww, Fluttershy on ant-anxiety meds
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Here's the Hungarian dub. Hey, It's That Voice! comes in to save the day: Twilight is Mary Jane Watson, Spike is Pops, Applejack is Azula, Pinkie Pie is Padme, and Rarity is, um, Sierra.
Personally, I found Spike's voice REALLY weird, like a young teenager.

@Mousa: Not to mention the potential for a changeling to actually be given genuine love. I mean, what if somepony honestly knew what they were and still loved them? That's love given by choice, would they still turn it down?
And we're never given any real evidence that the feeding off love itself is harmful; sure SA got his headaches and was weakened but that may be because Chrys had to brainwash him directly to keep him from seeing through her ruse. Passively feeding could be like those bugs that eat sweat and dead skin cells - they only take what's being shed anyways, so it causes no harm.

@Ginger, I know, I just couldn't think of any benefits to ponies besides "No more kidnapping and cuckolding of ponies".

Spitfire is male in Poland. Not Hungarian, as far as I know. But at least in both languages, Applejack sounds like Azula.

@kegi I know. I just think there could be a changeling out there who might take issue with taking what isn't technically there's to take (even passively)
Of course, the ponies he's been feeding off of would come and tell him that he's being ridiculous at some point and say they'd be honoured to have their love keep someone else alive
Just an idea. Jeez, you guys

@Ginger, so essentially planning to commit suicide because your lifestyle is incompatible with another's is the right thing to do? Seems legit.

Sorry, we were just thinking too much... Which is the point of the exercise, I mean you proposed the scenario and we poked the holes... I'm not sure if this is good or bad.....
@_@ GARGH BLARGLE!
Technically their relationship would be commensalism, since only one(the changeling) derives benefit, but the pony isn't harmed. Although we don't know that it's impossible for the pony to derive some benefit either. On the emotional level having someone to care about is extremely helpful, so it's possible the relationship could be mutualistic(the more proper term for symbiosis, where both parties gain benefit)

So it's not possible for a creeper or whatever the dragonfly ponies are to simply stalk a lovey dovey couple?
Mmm... that's an interesting thought. I think the love needs to be directed at them, though.

From what they described in the finale, it sounded like the changeling had to be the object of affection in order to feed. Although that does make me wonder what Chrysalis was thinking by making a full on invasion when infiltration similar to what she had been successfully doing (although she was kind of bad at it, so there may have been some dumb luck at play there) would have worked far better.
