I only started reading it because I was hungering for some fantasy and the setting seemed interesting.

And Mage promised me that there are good villains (then again, this is the same guy who thought I was going to like the end of A Game Of Thrones)

I never read the wheel of time, it didn't seem that interesting to me.

True true.

And yes, that dagger is meant to be Min's viewing.

What is with the 8s in place of Bs?

Wow, chapter 19 was amazingly boring. Fortunately, it looks like the second fight will be more interesting. By the way, what did Pinkie turn into? Viewtiful Joe? And why does she have a helment on her tail?

Red appears to be Vriska. Possibly.

I thought chapter 19 was really interesting myself. But eh. Pinkie was Captain Falcon in the rematch, I believe.

@story... I liked chapter 19 sad

@Mage the main question is, WHEN DOES HE START BEING RIDICULOUSLY OVERPOWERED??

To be honest...? Never, really. The Heroes threats tend to grow with them. I suppose the case could be made that in Towers Of Midnight (book 12) he's overpowered, but even then it's more a case of things coming down to crunch time.

None of the Heroes ever lack and antagonist that's posses not just a threat, but a massive threat.

Who are the mane antagonists in book 1

Honestly, I really like the Halfmen so far. They're great Elite Mooks (I think that's what they are)

Swas has it. ::::) For some reason, I've 8ecome quite taken with Vriska. I'm sure this'll pass in time, 8ut for now I'm gonna indiscriminately annoy y'all. XD

I dunno. I just didn't like the 8ooks... unfortunately it's 8een too long for me to really say with any certainty why, aside from a general feeling of dryness. *shrug* If you like 'em, good for you - there's almost a literal ton of material in the series. =)

Two of the lower tier Forsaken, and Ba. But Ba is also the Big Bad for the next three books.

@ Crowfall: Yup. tongue To be fair, I find the whole social construction of the Seanchan absolutely fascinating. I love reading about societies who run off of a different moral code than our own. That's part of why I love Crest of the Stars so much as well.

Time to start catching up on the thread again. I wonder how many of my posts will coincidently be on topic this time. Though I'm guessing that the current topic is CEQ again due to my last post.

From what I hear about Lotus and Aloe, their service is superb. Also I think their shampoo uses their namesake plant(s) as active ingredients, the Aloe Vera is good for the skin.

Do you think Aloe's last name is Vera?

@CDRW: I usually like reading about societies that are vastly different, but I just find their system too abhorrent to get invested in. That said, I do like Tuon when she doesn't have her head up her ass about the "must collar all channelers" thing.
