That depends on whether they're technically mammals or fish.

If Celestia spoke in old English, we wouldn't have a clue what she was saying. Early Modern English like Luna was using should be good enough for the show. Leave older dialects fr fanfics where it's easier to explain.

@Ginger: Yeah, Seraph's right. OP is relative. She needed the boost more than the rest of her team did and I think that the others will get boosts later anyway. There are far more powerful characters in fiction. It's not the power, but the challenge that's the issue.

@Ginger: We're not sure how effective it will be in combat yet, RD was on the defensive for most of her last fight and Havocwing is the least strategic member of the Mean 6. I think that you're worrying prematurely. It might be a problem, but if it is, it won't last long.

@ Ginger, and the rest of the Mean 6 agreed havok was just a bad choice to pit against RD from the start, they only did so because she insisted on a rematch, let's see what RD V Greyscale looks like.

I guess it's just that I don't like her demeanour in battle either. She's too cocky and arrogant.

I think One Piece was last time I saw anything with a character that could turn into Lightning, and they were more or less unbeatable. If it weren't for the fact that the main character was made of rubber, making him immune to electrocution via Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors, then he would have won quite easily.

@SeraphThen what about AJ vs Havoc. AJ's gonna get the shit kicked out of her. RD could beat Havoc easily but AJ couldn't beat Grayscale easily?

@Perpetual Lurker: Sure it's a powerful ability, but we're not sure how well she can use it yet and several characters should be pretty effective against her.

Ginger, think about RD trying to get through Starlight's shields, avoiding Red's fear powers or the fact that Insipid eats magic! How will RD do when she's too heavy to fly?

There was a gremlin in Gremlins 2 who could turn into electricity. The 1000-Volt Ghost in Scooby-Doo too.

Electricity monsters are cool. Writers should use them more often.

Negi Springfield can do it too.

AND givn how fast lighting mode makes her, do you have any IDEA how hard it would be to use that in a fight for anything other then running away> it would be almost impossible to turn, aim, react, all it's good for is getting somewhere very far away VERY fast.

I had an idea for a character that could sort of turn into lightning in TCYB continuity - the sort of warrior-princess of a mountain country of pegasi.

Although it's not so much that she could turn into lighning, as she could set herself on lighting(ie. completely envelop herself in it).

Also, APARTMEEEEEEEEEEENTS!

hating Nagi is acceptable, since he was kind of a dick. Although he gets props from me for being technically a really shitty mage who was creative(at least as of volume 20). Hating Negi is not, as he's polite and kind and generally adorable. Also Welsh!
