I'm generally to lazy to actually read anything unless I can get really interested, and even that only lasts for a couple of chapters or so.

Most of the time, I just look for spoilers, which is probably more trouble than just reading the story in the first place.

The Legend of Star Swirl the Bearded is basically The Hobbit ponified with Star Swirl as Gandalf, Humble Pie as Bilbo and the pegasi as the dwarves (including Hurricane who was just a General at the time). I'm enjoying it so far.

As for the Lunaverse, Corona is a threatening villian.

@ Sereg: Ah so it has. And there's another story by a different author as well. To the reading mobile! And it's not terribly more depressing than canon, at least when compared to stuff like CRISIS and Fallout Equestria.

@ Ginger: Yeah basically Celestia went crazy instead of Luna and is a lot more successful upon her return.

@Ginger: Celestia refuses to accept her defeat or that ponies are better off without her as queen and escapes to plot to try again. It's one of the things I'm leery of.
