Every time show doing some cliched or generic plot they add something cool or surprising to it.

Hearth's Warming Eve had more in common with Thanksgiving than Christmas anyway.

How can you call an episode where they burn winter spirits of hate to death generic?

And yeah, Tick Tock is an OC from CRISIS Equestria.

It might work if it was like Rabbit in Springtime For Roo I guess, where his Super OCD gets in the way of the actual fun part and he gets hurt when everyone doesn't like his order of things. It still seems a bit self centered for Twilight though (who can be a Jerkass, but usually with a rather sympathetic or well intentioned motive).

Big Mac is the Quiet One though, he's PERFECT for the Ghost of Christmas Future.

What about Diamond Tiara, the CMC even makes for three ghosts (which they'd probably bungle up).

@ginger: It was just a suggestion, they haven't really done a lot with her to get a definite personality. I like the idea of her being ambitious though.

I'd like to see Rainbow Dash re enact some action hero scenario. MMDW had the right idea having her do more actual hero stuff, and Chewing the Scenery in every manner possible.
